From 2000 onward, Lloveras described architecture and urbanism as art while directing and partnering in more than one hundred built, designed and staged projects. Thousands of hours of office design work and the experience of constructing many of those ideas gave the later research corpus a practical substrate: concepts repeatedly return to material constraints, implementation and use. A tombola begins with separate pieces whose relation has not yet been decided. Socioplastics has always contained something of that condition. Individual posts arrive from different projects, places, images, readings and accidents. Their order is partly deliberate and partly contingent. At eleven thousand nodes, however, contingency no longer means absence of structure. Repetition begins to reveal patterns that could not have been planned in advance. This is one reason the numbering matters. Every fragment keeps the memory of its arrival even after it becomes part of a Tome, a Book, a marker system or a later thematic sequence. The corpus can therefore be reorganised without pretending that its new order was always there. Historical sequence and retrospective interpretation coexist. Chance remains productive inside such a system. An old node can suddenly become relevant to a new project; two distant entries can form a pair; a marker coined for one problem can illuminate another. The larger the corpus becomes, the more possible these encounters are. Scale increases not only storage but combinatorial potential. The apparent randomness also demands a discipline of provenance. Subir Bajando (2026) argues that a growing corpus must distinguish recurrence from duplication and record the transformations of each object. Relational Longitudinality (2026) shows how a chance encounter may become analytically relevant years later through subsequent traces. El Tómbolo works in that interval between contingency and retrospective pattern: combinations may be unexpected, but the archive must never pretend they were planned from the start. Chance creates openings; indexing makes it possible to assess what those openings actually produced. El Tómbolo reads 11K as the moment when thousands of contingent arrivals begin to behave like a machine for producing connections. The index below keeps the draw visible: every number retains its place, while the field around it remains open to another combination.
